Hello! My name is JJ Marquardt, and I am a 2022 graduate of Columbia University with a B.A. in Film and Media Studies. I am an aspiring filmmaker with a focus in sketch comedy.

I have worked a variety of jobs in the film and entertainment industry! Most recently, I interned at Broadway Video in the development department and Enterprises sector. Before that, I contributed as a copywriter at marketing and storytelling studio, Magnet Media. Prior, I worked to head the video production department at the education company NSTEM. I’ve also worked as a film festival programmer, an associate producer for some Biden campaign ads, and held many positions within student organizations while at Columbia. Also I’ve worked at like four restaurants if anyone cares.

Background: I grew up in Allen, Texas but later moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky and graduated high school from The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky (2018). Here, I concentrated in biology and did research in entomology, specializing in dung beetles. Wow, this paragraph was kind of worthless!

I attended middle school at Sloan Creek Middle School (now Willow Springs Middle School).
